Bringing Christ to RV Resorts Across America
Equipping chaplains to serve, encourage, and disciple the RV traveling community.
Why RV Resorts Need Chaplains
Millions of people live and travel in RV resorts every year. These communities represent one of the largest untapped mission fields in North America.
YOU could be the one to bring the ANSWER to their spiritual needs!
Recognize The Need
RV Campgrounds are full of spiritually hurting people! CRM Chaplains serve RV campers through spiritual care and meaningful relationships.
Train Chaplains
CRM is all about training Christ-centered ministers for chaplaincy in RV communities. You may be the one to go! We will train you. You can do it.
Develop Ministries
CRM is a bridge that can open opportunities for establishing worship, Bible studies, and outreach in RV resorts. Do you need a chaplain?
The RV Mission Field
RV resorts are vibrant communities with hundreds of seasonal residents. RV Resort Chaplains provide church services, Bible studies, pastoral care and ministry where needed most.
Meet a CRM Chaplain ~ Marty & Edna Ziegler
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Marty and Edna Ziegler have been serving as Chaplains in Christian Resort Ministries since 2018 at Southern Comfort and Country Sunshine RV Parks in Weslaco, Texas, part of the RGV (Rio Grande
Valley). They began their missionary journey in 2017 with InFaith.org, The American Missionary Fellowship. Marty had retired from teaching and coaching after a 40 year career while Edna retired from serving in a women’s coffee house ministry.
They sold everything and by God’s good graces acquired a truck and fifth wheel and started “Traveling Light” (John 8:12). In their 45 years of marriage God has blessed them with three amazing children with wonderful spouses and five delightful grandchildren. What a privilege it has been to serve their family and others in those up and down years of Christian growth.
Together they minister at the two RGV parks for seven months of the year (October-April) with chapel duties like preaching (Marty), worship, prayer, greeting, etc. as well as teaching Bible studies and making home and hospital visits. They essentially do life with and come alongside “Winter Texans “ throughout those seven months, something they treasure deeply.
While in the early years of their ministry they served at children’s Bible camps and VBS camps, they now seek opportunities to speak at men’s, women’s and couple’s retreats and small events during those five months. During this time they also visit family, friends, supporters, and partner churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah and South Dakota before heading back to south Texas.
While serving “in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2), God has given them many opportunities to share the Gospel and His love. Over the past eight years of “Traveling Light” they have witnessed in others an increased love of God and the Bible, renewed commitments and baptisms, which has been an encouragement. All
glory to God for what He has done and will continue to do as we follow His lead and ways.
One of the blessings over the past eight years has been God’s establishment of Simon’s House, (Acts 10:6-32), a place where pastors and their wives, missionaries and supporters can stay at our Southern Comfort Park for a time of refreshing, refocusing, relaxing, at no cost due to generous supporters who see this need as vital.
As each season progresses, Marty and Edna continue to be amazed at what God has done and is doing. God changes lives. He pursues people well into their senior years of life and He continues to use events and people to demonstrate and share His love. The Zieglers, in their senior years, themselves, consider it a privilege to serve God through CRM and InFaith. They joyfully consider what Jesus has done for them personally in His grace and mercy and continue to be excited to see what God has in store for them with each approaching season.
